This is hilarious! A concert promoter has filed a lawsuit against R. Kelly claiming that R. Kelly was putting his court hearings before his concert commitments.
This is what went down. R. Kelly missed his original court date regarding his child pornography trial and the judge rescheduled for December 19. The judge also threatened Kelly with a warrant if he failed to show again.
Kelly then cancelled his Dec 20 concert in Minnesota blaming his court appearance. The concert on Dec 20 was already postponed from Dec 6.
The promoters at Royalty Records are just not having it and have filed a lawsuit claiming that he never had the intention to have the concert in the first place even though he had already gotten a $120,000 check for an appearance fee.
The company wants their money back plus some.
