Pete Wentz Protects Ashlee Simpson

'Singer' Ashlee Simpson was the butt of all jokes after she got caught lip-syncing on 'Saturday Night Live.' Although those Simpson jokes will never get old for us, her rocker boyfriend Pete Wentz is tired of hearing them.

Wentz issued a cease-and-desist request to heavy metal band Neurosonic over their new song that bashes his girlfriend.

The bands frontman, Jason Darr even invited his audience to participate in the bass during a performance at the Knitting Factory in Los Angeles last week. Isn't it funny that struggling bands have to cause controversy like this just to get their name out there? It's pretty pathetic actually! This one goes to Simpson!

Neurosonic doesn't need to bash Ashlee to "get their name out there" - they have a top 30 single and tons of US fans who like real music - not the lip-sync crap you are tyring in vain to defend.
