Here's something you don't hear every day. Someone criticizing Mark Ronson! Noel Gallagher of the band Oasis doesn't think Mark is all he's hyped up to be, and thinks he should stop covering other artists songs, and come up with a few of his own. He's presumably talking about Mark's album called Version, in which he reworks songs such as The Smiths' 1987 Stop Me If You Think You've Heard This One Before with Daniel Merriweather, and the cover of Valerie from The Zutons he redoes with Amy Winehouse.
Gallagher said during a recent radio interview, "He wants to write his own tunes instead of everyone else's. He needs to learn three chords on the guitar and go and write a tune."
Gallagher can say whatever he wants about Mark Ronson, but Version is one our favorite albums, and we think the guy's a genius!
