A songwriter/producer is claiming that Kanye West jacked his song. This dude from Maryland says that Kanye’s “The Good Life” is a knock off of his “Volume of Good Life.”
He filed the lawsuit in Maryland Court claiming copyright infringement.
The songwriter says that West "didn't obtain a license to use 'Volume of Good Life'" for using his song and the lawsuit also claims that Kanye was "only at the age of 6 or 7 years of age [sic]" when he actually wrote his song.
So what does he want to get out of this lawsuit? According to TMZ, he wants” 85% of all world sales of the proceeds from the music that uses his work.”
