The saxophonist for Dave Matthew Band, LeRoi Moore, passed away yesterday. He was only 46-years old, and died in the hospital from complications due to an ATV accident he'd gotten into on his farm in Virginia a month prior.
Dave paid tribute to LeRoi at their concert last night in LA, saying, "We all had some bad news today. Our good friend LeRoi Moore passed on and gave his ghost up today and we will miss him forever."
Then later in the show, he mentioned that "It's easier to leave than to be left."
That's so sad! LeRoi was one of the founding members of DMB and co-wrote several songs with Dave.
