Chris Brown Gets Sued

This is why you always get things in writing! John Troxel, who designs sets for concerts, filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown on Christmas Eve. He says he was paid for some of his design work, but "extra work was required and requested."

Troxtel alleges that an oral agreement was reached but when it came to time to collect, the touring company refused. It's not like this guy is some chump either; he's done sets for Snoop, Michael Jackson, and Eminem.

Troxtel is suing for breach of contract and unjust enrichment and is seeking damages in excess of $1,000,000. I hope this guys gets his cash, but it is his fault for not signing papers.

Ms. Daly, In the United States people are assumed innocent until proven guilty. Chris Brown is selling out his tour nationwide, has just released 2nd platinum album, signed deal to direct Nickelodeon series, signed 3 movie deal with Sony pictures, had #1 Box Office Hit 2006, #2 Box Office Hit in 2007 - so don't you think the man could afford to pay for work done for him. But more importantly do you truly believe any body, especially a seasoned professional would actually do 1/2 million dollars worth of work without a written contract? Come on wait until both sides of the story are aired before you cry that you hope poor Mr. 'Honest' Troxel gets his money from 'Dishonest' Chris Brown. Peace !!

Actually "Question to Lady who wrote article", if you knew anything about how Hollywood operates, you'd know the town is still run on oral agreements and handshakes. Not getting a standard agreement in writing is a risk you take. Welcome to the big city, kid.

I don't think chris brown asked for extra work done..If any dummy would know...they'd ask whomever to sign a contract..That man probably did that work on his on just to get a quick buck outta chris brown..Look at thepoint...Chris Paid for what he wanted the first time...y wouldn't he pay for the little extra work....Besides the man is sueing for 1 million dollars...I mean is that necessary
